Featuring a 120' basalt wall and scattered Madrone trees, Madrone Wall Park overlooks the Clackamas River between Carver and Damascus, Oregon. The view of the river from the top of the basalt wall is wonderful, but unless you are a rock climber that may not be the place you would want to be to fully appreciate the beauty of the park itself. Raw, oxidized and often sheathed with various colored lichen and moss, the faceted basalt rock is truly wondrous and magnificent in itself. This work represents personal inspirations from visits to this very special place.
